Lyssach is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. Lyssach is first mentioned in 894 as Lihsacho and as Lissacho in 1255. The oldest trace of a settlement is Hallstatt grave mounds in the Birchiwald. The village is first mentioned in a donation document from 894 where a noble lady, Pirin, donated land in the village to the Abbey of St. Gall. Wikipedia
