Stod is a historic small town in West Bohemia, Czech Republic, with roots dating back to the 13th century. Originally belonging to the Chotěšov Monastery, Stod gradually received market rights and privileges. The town experienced a flourishing period with breweries and trade, but was affected by the Thirty Years’ War. Until 1945, primarily German Bohemians lived here, after which they were expelled. Today, Stod offers a peaceful environment with hills and a nearby observation tower, as well as historical insights into its turbulent past.Wikipedia
