Holásecká jezera, a natural monument in Brno-Tuřany, comprises a system of 9 lakes with a unique landscape and rich biodiversity. They were formed by gradual damming and extraction, with the oldest lakes being remnants of the old bed of the Svitava River. The area is home to many species of amphibians, birds including beavers, and rare trees such as the Ulmus laevis.
